Ups and downs for ACM in 2020
I hope that everyone has had a good start to 2021 and is looking forward to see what this year has to offer!
It’s clear that 2020 was a rather special year in many aspects. Hopefully we now see the light at the end of tunnel in this pandemic, even though we back in the spring didn’t think that we were going to hear about locked down societies even in the beginning of 2021. For ACM 2020 was a year with both ups and downs but with a strong finish. During April-July our turnover was 20-25 % below our budget when several of our larger customers had to reduce the production rates due to lower demand. When the market started to open up again after the first lock down, the demand came back up step by step in August and September. The recovery during the remainder of the year was better than expected and greater changes in consumption for a couple of our customers during the last months of the year also contributed to a strong finish of the year.
When we summarize 2020 we managed to recover the drop from earlier in the year during September-December, which gave a turnover for the full year that was right at the 89 Million SEK that we had in our budget.
We thank all our customers and partners for 2020 and look for forward to our cooperation during 2021! ACM continue to focus on our primary customers segments in coatings, paper, adhesives, plastics, rubber and cosmetics. Our focus is to strenghten our range and offer to continue to be a relevant partner within these segments!
