Training of operators - Acm Group

Based on our extensive experience of wet end chemistry and water treatment, we have for more than 25 years been adding value for customers in the paper industry by organising courses for staff on paper machines, effluent treatment plants and sludge dewatering units.

We help customers to develop both experienced and newly hired staff to control their processes. It can involve anything from three to thirty people in eachgroup. Or simply one person who needs to be updated about what happens when chemicals are dosed for different applications.

The training courses naturally include the chemical functions, but also how the effects of chemistry affect the processes. We also speak about how the effects can be used by adapting machine parameters and other process settings.

We always work together with the customer to perform an analysis of what needs to be developed. Chemistry can often be perceived to be something abstract, that people are unwilling, afraid or unable to deal with. Each individual training course is therefore adapted to the application in question and the level of knowledge among those to be trained. We do not talk chemical formulas, but about the practical use and handling of the chemicals we supply, and what happens when they are dosed for different applications.

The training courses help employees to identify the optimal dosage and optimal settings of machine parameters and other process settings. This enhances their peace of mind in their professional role and increases their level of independence.

We organise training courses for operators on:

Paper machines

  • Retention
  • Fixation
  • Pitch control

Water treatment

  • Settling basins
  • Flotations
  • Sludge dewatering
