Antioxidants
Antioxidants are chemical compounds that prevent oxidation. Oxidative processes arise at heating or exposure to UV-light and degrade plastics and rubber. This oxidation can be prevented by adding antioxidants to such materials that are expected to be exposed to heat or UV-light.
The oxidation creates a chain reaction of free radicals and hydroperoxide intermediates. Antioxidants prevent these reactions by reacting with these reactive substances and degrade them.
The trade names for our antioxidants are Revonox® and Deox®.
